Scrutopia 2025
The 2025 theme is: What kinds of freedom really matter? A question that will lead to a nuanced and broad philosophical discussion led by our experienced faculty, who were students of Roger Scruton and enhanced by his intellectual colleagues who join us as special guests, including Professor Kathleen Stock and Lord Sumption.
Our cultural events will be rich and varied including visits to private houses and libraries in the Cotswolds and a wonderful concert in the Scruton library where pianist Stephen Marquiss and soprano, Angela Good will treat us to a beautiful programme fitting for a summer’s evening in the countryside.
We hope you take the opportunity to spend a week immersed in this unique philosophy summer school where your thoughts will be stimulated and where debate and discussion will lead to new friendships.
This year we are opening the gala dinner to Alumni of previous Scrutopia Summer Schools and all former students of Roger Scruton.
