MA in Philosophy

For those who may be interested in this London based degree (one year), lead by Prof Roger Scruton, the first term seminar programme has nearly been finalised. Guest lecturers include Raymond Tallis, Sebastian Gardner and Simon Blackburn.

The purpose of the course is to present a vision of the places where philosophy impinges on life and cast light on it. Prof. Scruton  will introduce students to philosophy as he conceives it, which means hard and disciplined argument about soft and malleable material. A background reading in the history of philosophy would be an advantage for those wishing to enrol.
